Woo! Woo! (that is a train noise FYI)
The beginning of our journey into the Southeast of England started at Edinburgh Waverly, the train station. This is us in our seats. Those little ticket thingys means they are reserved. It was snowing like crazy all over the UK (and still is). Our biggest fear was getting snowed in/out. Which the nice ticket checker guy came around and gave us a scare because he was almost positive that Bristol wasn't excepting trains that day. Thankfully, he called for us. They had started excepting because some of the snow was melting. We had to switch trains twice, once at York and then at Birmingham. We actually ended up missing our train in Birmingham. We were just outside of Derby (pronounced Darby, for all those like me) and the train creeped then sat at a stop. We were just cutting in for our switch at 30 mins already with the train moving. Then the train stopped. Apparently the signals kept getting mixed up or something about the signals. We sat on the tracks for like 10 mins. We were paniced and pissed when we got to the station. Luckily the trains system has very cool tickets. Your ticket isn't time specific so you can take any route to get to where you want to be. Which was good because we epically missed our train by almost 15 mins. But all was good because we arrived in Bristol only 30 mins later than expected.
