Castle Shots
Us and a kitty! Yes we really did say that when we tried to get our picture with the giant stone lion. It was right next to a horse... go figure
HE REALLY DID EXIST!!!! This was a lineage in the done on the wall of somewhere and look there he is!!
We also got to see the Scottish Royal Honours (the crown jewels), but you can't take pictures or obviously we would have. The legend goes that they were disbanded after Charles II and hidden away from Cromwell in the dungeons of this Castle with the crown under the toilet. They were dug up but England had rule along with a Parliment system so they were like taboo and placed in a giant chest for 111 years until Sir Walter Scott opened them and restored them back to their place (at a musem because the monarchy wasn't alive anymore). They were first used at the Coronation of Mary (aka Mary Queen of Scotts) when she was 9 months old. It was a crown, septar, sword and hilt, and some big pretty jewels... one was a giant ruby ring with a cross in it.
